I graduated from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now known
as Tai Sophia) in 1989 and have practiced acupuncture for the last
thirteen years. After graduation, I completed a two-year
internship with the founders of the school, Dianne Connelly and
Bob Duggan. During that time I also began teaching at TAI. I
taught until September, 2000, when I decided to focus entirely on
private practice.
I find that one of acupuncture’s gifts is its versatility. My
post-graduate studies include a program in Chinese Herbology and
in-depth studies of various styles and specialties in acupuncture.
This allows me to work with clients of all ages and a variety of
issues, such as skeleto-muscular pain and dysfunction,
preventative health care, and the effects of trauma, abuse, and
stress.
On a personal level the philosophy of acupuncture has a profound
influence on my physical, emotional, and spiritual life. I find
this approach to life’s struggles and joys helpful to share with
my clients who in turn benefit from its fresh and inspiring
outlook. |
